How do I leave messages on the email server - if I want access from another computer?
There are several different ways that you can leave messages on the server so that you can access it from another computer.Option One: Change a setting in Outlook Express
Follow these steps:
Open Outlook Express.
Select Tools/Accounts.
Click on the Mail tab, highlight the Default Account (typically Intas or Internet Tasmania) and click on the Properties button.
Click on the Advanced tab.
In the Delivery section, click the tick box to "Leave of copy of messages on server".
Select the appropriate tick box to delete the messages from the server after a certain number of days or until the messages are deleted from the Deleted Items in Outlook Express. (If you don't choose one of these options, your mail box will become full - and new messages will get bounced).
Option Two: Use Webmail.
Webmail is the most efficient way to check your emails when you are away from your primary computer - that means wherever you have internet access you can go to our homepage - www.intas.net.au - and use it from any computer without the need to type all the emails settings in again. You will need to know your username and password to access your email.

Option Three: Create an IMAP account
The third option is to create a new email account and make it IMAP instead of POP3. IMAP is different to POP3 in that it leaves the messages on the server, and just downloads the headers and not the messages (like POP3 does). However, you need to stay online to read more than just the headers because you need to click on each individual message for it to download. If there are messages you do not want, you simply click on the message and delete them.
